Food writer and cookbook author

Holly Herrick is an awarded cookbook author and food writer who draws inspiration from the beauty and seasonal, local produce and delicious food and restaurants of her home town, Charleston, SC. Holly is the author of  four cookbooks, including Southern Farmers Market (Gibbs Smith, June, 2009) and The Charleston Chef’s Table Cookbook – Extraordinary Recipes from the Heart of The Old South (Three Forks Press, December, 2009) In 2011, Holly released two new books, Tart Love – Sassy, Savory, and Sweet (Gibbs Smith, October, 2011) and Food Lovers’ Charleston & Savannah – A guide to the Best Restaurants, Markets and Local Culinary Offerings (Globe Pequot Press, December, 2011).  All of Holly’s books are currently available online at amazon.com and at bookstores near you. As a decade-long restaurant critic in the area, Holly’s something of a specialist on the subject of dining in Charleston and is embarking on a study of Savannah’s food scene for her next two book projects. Holly embraces opportunities to develop recipes for food brand producers and write features and food articles/original recipes for newspapers, magazines and web sites.
